Happy birthday to me. It's my golden bday-23 on the 23rd. Right now we're at Ameristar, me and the usual crew-Marlon, Tre, and Reg. This was the best idea we had. Now as in after we sit in this booth and marinate we're going to hit the craps table on our side and take them for all they've got. Them who knows. 

Merry Christmas Baby

Well the holidays are upon us once again. This is my favorite time of the year. With T-7 days until the big day I figured now would be an appropriate time to wish all of my readers (Dom and Erica) a very merry Christmas. Hope everyone gets what they want and enjoy the time they will spend with their friends and family. And now I will leave you with my all-time favorite Christmas song ever and my favorite version.

So I'm sitting here watching Baseball At Its Best: Highlights of the 2009 Season and realizing that not only is this year almost over but so is the decade. The 2000s were a great time for me. I graduated from middle school, high school, and college all in one decade. I made new friends lost some along the way. Children have come into my life (none of my own) and friends and loved ones have gone on. The 2000s will be my all-time golden era. Well I guess I'll have a synopsis of this year as well as this decade coming sometime next month.

Because gratification of a desire leads to the temporary stilling of the mind and the experience of the peaceful, joyful Self, it's no wonder that we get hooked on thinking that happiness comes from the satisfaction of desires. This is the meaning of the old adage, "Joy is not in things, it is in us."

November Top 7

Food- Pizza Rolls, and they are good for two sets of people- stoners and kids. It's pizza, my favorite food, rolled up and ready in about 2 minutes. One of life's simple pleasures. :)
TV-Living Single is a classic. They don't make quality shows with black people anymore. Sometimes I wish that Living Single was my life-Brooklyn, NY, best friends always together.
Movies-The Go Getter is an indie flick with two of my favorite actors, Zooey Deschanel and Lou Taylor Pucci. He goes under the radar so many times because he's a silver screener but I like him. The movie is great.
Music-If you had to ask, John Mayer. Battle Studies. Assassin.
Drink- Long Island Iced Tea
Moment-Going to Halo Bar and realizing those white kids weren't just drunk. They were rolling, high or something because no one dances like that regardless of sobriety level or race.
Random-I'm sick of feeling sorry for myself and my current situation.

(Untitled)

So this month has had very few posts. I always have something going on in my mind but I just never can get around to putting them down and by the time I get to a computer and am ready I have forgotten what it was I wanted to say. Now, however, I will become more proactive. I have an iPhone so keeping my blog updated is so easy.

The reason for this post is that in the past few days I have just been thinking that next month I will be 23 years old and still living at home with a degree and no job prospects. Then I said in June 2010 if I still have no job I am packing up and going west. I need to know what it feels like to be completely independent. I have depended on other people for the past 22 years of my life and think that it is about time I take a huge leap into the vast abyss. So what if I don't make it. So what if I have to come back home. I have to do this for myself and for my sanity.

Obviously, my new task is not going to be easy. I'm going to have to save a lot of money, scope the scenes to see exactly where I can afford to go (right now, Denver is looking like the place), and give up all of the mind altering substances. I'm going to find some new hobbies, working out is number one, all of those endorphins are going to have to help me stay sane and sober, back to photography, and probably a lot of reading and maybe I'll study for that damn actuary test.

This is probably the most personal post I have in my repertoire. And if I give up my substances it will get even worse. So welcome to my life!!!!!!

October 7

October Top 7
Disclaimer: I just never got around to my Top 7. I have actual notes from throughout the month and a few posts. I will get back to posting within 5 days of the new month.

Food- Illusion chicken. The Illusion is this little club in downtown East St. Louis but on the weekend for me and my friends it is an after night eatery. We discovered the combo plates with fried chicken and shrimp and fries. And they have a sign in a window for 24 oz Bud Light's for $2.50. Gotta love it!!!!!!
TV-Between Sunday night Fox and Dexter, Monday night CBS from 7-9 and Castle at 9, and ABC Wednesday from 8-9, I am stuck in front of television, no plans, no going out. My friends know, my parents know and they respect that. So I think these are about the only times I watch sitcoms that have been in production in the last 3 or 4 years that is a sitcom or drama.
Movies-Role Models. This movie went under the radar but is a really great laugh. Ronnie, Augie, Wheeler, and Danny were a great bunch of very complex yet relatable characters. It's soo funny. And you'll find out all about Elizabeth Banks' "whispering eye".
Music-Gucci Mane La Flare. It's something about being here and being in my car and beating some of my faves by Gucci.
Drink- Tequila
Moment-When Warith asked me hadn't I ever peed on a door handle after we drank a fifth of Ciroc.
Random-Halloween night. Getting so wasted as a hippie that some gay guy licked my lip because he was playing with my cherries. Then to top it off I go meet his bf and some random guys who know how to blow fire and commenced to do so right in front of me. After getting wasted going to Maurizio's and eating a burger that was awesome. And the highlight of my night not even remembering the drive home but remembering walking in the house.

The 2009 Teenager

So I have been substituting at the local high school the past 3 days. Yesterday was the first day that the students decided to listen to music. Oh how tragic!!! Today there was a slight argument about the "coldest" rapper in the game today. Many of the kids chose the same guy: Drake. Like I respect Drake but he is not the "coldest" rapper. They had the audacity to say Drake was better than UGK. That was whent he imaginary line had been crossed. So many rappers have been influenced by UGK and they think Drake is better. Please!!!!!!!!!

UGK's Ridin' Dirty is a classic that came out in 1996 and that you could still just let ride from first song to the last song. A classic like Ice Cube's "Today Was a Good Day". Well they just don't make music like they used to and that is sad.

Sunday, November 1, 2009

I'm at Maurizios just got done eating garlic bread from Jeness. I ordered by second favorite food a cheeseburger. Marlon is so drunk. We have a 5th of tequila a 12 pack of beer and we are dressed up (pics to come later hopefully). Tre dressed up as Wayne, I am a hippie, B. Brown is a cheerleader, and Marlon is a breathlyzer (so fitting). I am soooooooooo drunk. Halloween 2009 was great. Tequila beer and weed. What an afing good night.

My Most Favoritest Artist

Yeah I know favoritest is not a word but that is the only word that explains my infatuation with John Mayer. Although I have yet to see him live. The time is coming soon with his new cd which is the reason for my post. JM is coming out with his 4th studio album on November 17, 2009. Here is the album cover (or back idk which).

Cognac, Casinos, and Kush

So that title there pretty much sums up my weekend. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Since it is beginning to get cold out, we've been just hitting corners. Riding around the city, hitting the casino, going out to eat, you know more chill activities. Once you turn 21, I think the summer is the only real time you party unless there are events or a holiday or you're one of the lucky ones that live in a warm climate year round. Summer is gone no bar hopping because it's just too damn cold to walk from place to place with hardly any clothes on. Here is a recap of my weekend in case you were wondering:
Friday-Around 11, me and Marlon picked up Bernard after usual activities, and Bernard and Giovanni greeted us with a half of a fifth of Remy. From there the night took off. After more activities and more driving around we finally went back to the casino. As I walked to the casino, I saw one of my mother's good friend coming out and so blown. Then once I got in the casino I saw a church member who said "Smells like you've been having a good night." We had shots of cognac and beers on the boat. We left after Bernard crapped out and headed to another boat across the river. More beer and then we lost our money. Somehow on the way out of the casino we went out of a different door and were lost. Once we figured out where we were we made it to the car and about 5 feet from my car was a bloody tampon just lying on the ground (that conversation in the car was weird but the best question was, "If it's there what does she have on?). White Castle, Bernard passed out in my car, my camera not taking pics and a drive across the bridge later we ended up on 18th street at Marlon's cousin Dee's house...for KUSH. He smoked one with us and then gave us a $13 bag. It was 3:30 a.m. I made it home right before 4 and headed straight for the bed.
Saturday-Began at 9:24 a.m. Therefore when I woke up I was still buzzed. We headed to my grandparents house for breakfast and I was more than a little out of it. I spent the next 4 hours riding around with my parents to run errands. After watching the Cardinals get swept in the NLDS, I played cards with my mom's friends and lost $20. After that I hit a doobie and got up with Marlon had some long island, 2 kush blunts and beer. We played wasted darts at Baxter's I came home ate the food leftover from the party and went to sleep.
Sunday- I went to church. Smoked around 8 and had Wendy's and had a revelation-twisted Frostys are great.
Monday-Waked and baked.

The Fall Classic

So you may not know but I am a huge baseball fan. I am especially a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals but you more than likely have to be around these parts at least a little. So tonight is there first playoff game since they won it all in 2006. I have screamed and banged and cursed and everything else at this game. The bad thing is that it's only the 5th inning and the game has been on for 2 hours and I plan on going to work tomorrow. October will be a long month because the Cards WILL make it to the World Series. Now back to watching the game.

September 7

Food- 54th Street Grill...It's an average all-American spot with locations all around the St. Louis Metro area and Kansas City. The have huge drinks; I mean 18 oz. drinks.
TV-It's fall premiere season. Who doesn't love all the new tv shows and predicting how long the new ones will last??? So I've watched Accidentally on Purpose, Modern Family, Cougartown, Eastwick, and The Cleveland Show. So far so good. And then there are the returns of my faves: HIMYM, Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Family Guy, Castle, Californication, and Dexter. What can I say...I kinda like tv.
Movies-So I haven't ventured out of my house to the movies since The Hangover. The movie that I continue to watch repeatedly that is on cable is Hellboy II. I'm really not into like fantasy or sci-fi but this movie is awesome and I watch it every time it's on just about.
Music-"I've got some issues that nobody can see/ And all of these emotions are pourin' outta me/ I bring them to the light for you/ It's only right/ This is the soundtrack to my life/ The soundtrack to my life ohhhh." That's the chorus to Kid Cudi's "Soundtrack to my life" from his new album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day. It's fresh and new, dark and humorous. It's sooo me. Check it out please.
Drink- Ciroc. Phew is all I can say.
Moment-When I realized that either Rihanna has someone stalking me or my ideas are nothing new.
Random-Driving down the street in my beatdown but reliable car. Sky crisp blue with blooming white billowy clouds so perfectly placed throughout and realizing that carefree days are few and far between these days.

Shitty day already....

Tuesday, September 15, 2009

One of those days...

It's gloomy and rainy out, and I have come to believe that my soul
just does not like the weather. I have been in a crappy mood like I
woke up on the wrong side of the bed, or couch for that matter. I woke
this morning angry and unfulfilled. I know, I know, I know. Same shit
different day. Today though the shit is a little worse. I get tired of
waking up at 6 a.m. to come to sit a dayand be bored. The only thing
that keeps me coming back is the check, and today is payday. Between
the gym and a little of spend therapy I'll be okay.

It's over!!!!

After 13 years on the air, tonight marked the end of an American
institution. Mike Judge is the brain behind 2 of the best cartoons
ever-KOTH and Beavis and Butthead- and one of my favorite movies ever-
Office Space. KOTH is one of the shows that my generation grew up with
and now it's off the air, forever. I guess now I will have to begin my
collection of the series. So until after I see Extract, Judge's new
movie, and hear that he has another animated series in the works but
until then õ¦.

Summer 2009

This post is dedicated to the summer of 2009. Oh what a summer it has been. All the things that make summer great meshed into one almost never ending party. So here goes my top 7 of the summer.

Food- Realistically summer is the only time of the year that you can bbq in the midwest. I guess you could bbq in the spring and fall but there is something about the smell of charcoal burning that automatically reminds me of summer.
TV- Leverage made its way back to the TNT airwaves this summer. For those who have never heard of it, the show is about a group of thieves that work for the little man. They con people that have wronged others.
Movies-The Hangover is officially the movie of the summer. They were many contenders, Harry Potter, Transformers, G.I. Joe, but The Hangover had all of the elements of a summer classic. There was booze, Vegas, rufies, tasers, and a gay Chinese man. Nothing more to ask for.
Music- This decision was hard but Gucci Mane's "Wasted ft. Plies" was the song of the summer. So many days that was the theme. Regardless if we were out at a bar or just hitting corners, that song was always applicable.
Drink- Liquid cocaine. I think the name is self explanatory.
Moment- Realizing that if we didn't have degrees we would be low lives. This just happened yesterday but I think it counts.
Random- The fact that I got to hang with mostly all of my friends at the same time. Dom came and visited, Tre was here twice, me, Tina, and Marlon were regulars at Big Daddys. It has just been a great summer.

Monday officially ended summer but until it gets cold we'll still be going hard. And once it gets cold hotboxing and fogged up windows will be all the rave. So until summer 2010.

New post starting September

So I was looking at Eric Hutchinson's website-he's an artist-and he has a favorite 7 things by month so I think I will try it on the first of each month I will jot down the best 7 things of the previous month. I'm thinking that the things will be food, music, tv, movies, moment, drink, random. I hope this works because it will be like a chronicle of my life. Think it will be cool: hope it will be.

Happy Anniversary to ME!!!!!

So it's been a little over a year since I moved back home and what a day it has been. So as you all know I really don't do much but party and ride around the City. That has been my routine for the last 8 months I guess you can say thanks to my homie Ronnie. Some of those nights have been the highlights of my times here. Random nights always end up being the best ones. And I have had plenty, probably enough to give a lot of people some good laughs. But at the end of the day I still come home and wake up the next morning wishing that I had a job to go to. At least the first five months of the year I would get up knowing that there was a possibility or sometimes a certainty that I could go earn me some fairly easy money. Recently, however, I have not had that option. Luckily, school starts tomorrow so I will have the possibility of going to work the next couple of months. I think I'm going to cut out some of my habits--alcohol will be my only vice. I need to get back into the scene; it was the only other thing that kept me sane. So now I guess I start over. Some of the same stuff and goodbye to some of the old stuff.

So what's appropriate? What song is perfect for this part to the soundtrack of my life? Any suggestions??? This will do for now.

When We First Met...

Is the new song by awesome, quirky band Hellogoodbye. The band hails from California (where I am trying to get) and was know for the overload of synths and Forrest's superimposed vocals. Now they are back with a much more delicate sound.

Great song

In my never ending search to find the best music that is I have found one of my new favorite songs. It comes from a self proclaimed "whisper rock"-er. I haven't actually heard any other songs by him yet but this particular song I am referring to was featured in an episode of Bones from last year. I don't know if it is the mellow tune or the engrossing lyrics but this is such a moving song. Plus one of my faves, Zach Braff, introduced us to Joshua Radin and here he is. This song was from his sophomore album titled, Simple Things. Below is the song as well as the album artwork.

If you're ever...

So if you are ever in St. Louis you have to go to the landing. It is the place to be one either Friday or Saturday nights. Big Daddys or Joey Bs. Take your pick. The latter has a menu of over 100 shots that will indeed get you where you want to be. This is an ode to my city. Thank you for making me feel bad and embarrassed that I just got home and am plentty wasted and have al intentions of going to church in a couple of hours.

~~Thank you and good night.

Best Places...

To get food at late at night. Last night after me, Marlon, and Dominique had been chilling we decided we were hungry. I thought of Jack in the Box and so went journeyed there. After a thorough look at the menu we realized that you can virtually get anything you want to eat at Jack in the Box. They had tacos, eggrolls, burgers, fries, teriyaki bowls, sausage biscuits, and any other thing you can think to eat. That place is awesome for every type of person especially the one in search of good food for cheap late at night.

The 4th is a bust because I just got a flat less than a block from my house and we were on our way to the Taste. Maybe next year. :'(

Monday, June 29, 2009

Wow!!!!!!! Wowwwww!!!! This city never lets me down. I am in the McDonalds drive thru on 25th and a man pulled up selling CDs. Yes. Next to us in the drive thru.

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

It never lets you down

Today is Wednesday; well at least when my night started it was so until I wake up from my sleep it's still Wednesday. Tonight turned out to be a really low key awesome night. Ronnie just threw up in the Hardee's parking lot from Goose and 2 L's. Fucked up. And the night ended...for me at least. East St. Louis does not know how to disappoint regardless what has happened (3 shootings and 1 dead Police officer) or who is out (Sheriffs, State Boys, and City Cops). That's why I love this place.

I was at Big Daddy's last night with a cock in my hand

So I wasn't but a lady definitely was for her bachelorette party. I was at Big Daddy's on Friday though. I had an awesome time. I really loved the fact that we were all together (almost anyway) and all wasted. I lost $20 met some guys that went to school in DC and bought them some green. It all made for an awesome night. 4 am was the hour I got to my parents home.

On another note I am going to start a Remember when... post series. Just some of my random things that I think about that are at least 5 years old.

Thursday, June 4, 2009

So I've been watching a lot of tv these last 3 days, and I've realized that there aren't a lot of black characters in primetime. What can we do about this?

Monday, June 1, 2009

May has finally come to an end. I had a great run last month. DC, NYC the month's travel was awesome and almost free. We lost 3 phones only one of which was recovered. We blew wizards drank gallons. May 09 was awesome. If only life could continue as it was the latter part of the month.

Sunday, May 24, 2009

So I got me a new phone today hence no mobile posts or no posts at all since Tuesday. So I'm back to blurbs like I am suppsed to be. Plus soon I'll post my pics from NYC.

Pa-The-Tic

I was supposed to be in Indianapolis right now. Oh...but I'm at 18 Seaton. Today was just a series of very unfortunate events. Like I'm shitting on Lemony Snicket right now. There was supposed to be fruit and snacks and highway. Instead there was bad and worst and hell.

First we were supposed to get a rental which I booked at the last minute yesterday. [Back story: We (me, Tre, Reggie and Durell) sat around all day and scammed and schemed and cursed about rental policies. We cursed Enterprise, National, Alamo, Thrifty, Dollar, and Hertz. None of them would let us rent a car. No one over 25, no one with a credit card, and no luck. At the last minute I secured us a rental on Vermont with pickup at 12.] We travelled there by foot and train. Tre'Von went in to rent the car; Reggie and I soon followed. We had to come all the way back to Tre's house because he forgot to bring a utility bill or a check stub. When we came back and got the paperwork the guy wouldn't take it. Tre's check stub had his home address and not his D.C. address and they wouldn't take it. So we get in a cab to go back to his house and *ding* Tre thought to put the car in my name because my address on my random check stub and ID matched. Nope; didn't work either. And in the meantime both me and my brother los e our phones in the taxicab. So I'm panicking about the missing phones and the inability to rent a car in the District.

After we have cursed every possible person we could and thrown bottles and pleaded with customer service reps, Tre and I decide we need a cold, stiff drink. We decide on McCormick and Schmicks happy hour. We journeyed from 15th & L to 9th & G.On the way we thought to call Kath and ask her if she would rent it for us and now our spirits were lifted slightly. We got there around 2:45 and both ordered DiSaronno sours. We waited and waited and waited for 3:30--the arrival of happy hour. It came; and it left. We were hopeful about Kathryn getting the car. Why?? Because we didn't get it this time either.

By now we were out of solutions for the car but hd gotten the taxi cab driver's number about returning Reggie's phone but not mine. I figured either he or the person that got in after us swiped my phone and I guess I'm fine with that.

We came home, sat in the bathroom and thought long and hard. And Tre asked his old roommate and she agreed to do it for us. So now we sit and wait until noon.

A New York Minute

I visited a friend from college that lives in Brooklyn the earlier part of the week with my bfffs Tre and Reggie. We had an awesome time. The picture is from the balcony in her apartment. We had just gotten into town; it was about noon when I took this picture.

Our trip started at 5 a.m. in D.C. We were scheduled to leave on the 6:45 train from Chinatown and to arrive in NY at 11. There was a lady on the bus that had this red, light brown and platinum blonde dread like things growing from her head and she was the highlight of the entire bus ride. We mostly slept the way there because we had arisen sooo early that morning and so that once we got to NY we could tour the city.

The bus let us out on 34th & 7th Ave, right by MSG. We walked to the train to go to Brooklyn. After not knowing where to board the train for about 30 minutes we finally found a chick inside of Staples that told us where we could go. We went to Leigh's house in Brooklyn and dropped our stuff off and left back out with her. We rode the train to Columbus Circle and that was my first time ever being in Central Park. We saw NYC pigeons as fat as cats. After we left Central Park we stopped at White Castle by MSG and ate. I had a number 1 cheese on everything and it was $7.18. R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S!!!!!!! After that meal we caught the train down to Soho, went in a couple of stores, bought some stuff and went to 5th Ave.

By this time we hd walked so much that my feet felt like they were going to just give up on me if I continued to walk. Oh but I did; we did. We started at the underground Apple store and proceeded to walk about 10 blocks down 5th Ave just to window shop. By now all of our feet were on fire. But we kept walking. We got lost and had to ask the pigs where the train was. Neither Reggie nor I was going to ask so that ade Tre the designee. "Good morning. How ya doing? Good night. Happy Holidays. Where is the closest A or C train?" (for reference see Anderson Cooper interviews Cam'Ron) are all of the phrases allowed to say to the cops. We found the train got back to Leighs house and were hungry. So we got Popeye's, maxed it and were looking for a place to smoke. We found this little hot spot in a park adjacent to a playground at an elementary school. We chilled there smoked the L and sat and talked. We walked back to the house and the night was over.

That was only Day 1.

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

So I've been in NYC since yesterday midday. So far I've had a ton of fun. But right now I just want to recommend if you are ever in Soho please go to Peep for lunch.

Friday, May 8, 2009

So we are not going to Love for the infamous graduation party. The line was tooooo long and tickets are $60. I'm upset because this is one of the hottest parties of the entire year. Next year Howard I will be back. And then we journey all the way to Arundel Mills only to be turned away on account of a damn prom.
I am at my graduation and I thought that these things were supposed to inspire. May they do; maybe some people are inspired; maybe I'm too jaded. I will always remember it however because it's a monumental experience but right now I can't see it.

"You Know Why!!!!"

Last Friday I went home during my prep and lunch periods. The break was from 10-11:30. I was leaving from substituting for a special education history teacher; I needed to pack my clothes for my trip to the Capital. While at home I indulged in the fruit of the earth right before I was supposed to return to work.
On the way back to my classroom, I was engaged by a student. The dialogue goes as follows:
Him: "This your classroom?"
Me: "Yes." (walks into classroom, turns on light, props open door and walks to desk)
Him: mumbles indistinctly
Me: "What?"
Him: mumbles again
Me: "What did you say...I can't hear you."
Him: (walks across room to desk) "How old are you?"
Me: "22."
Him: "Can I get your number?"
...........Awkward silence...............
Me: "NO!!!"
Him: "Why not?"
Me: "I'm 22 and you're a junior in high school."
Him: "Why?.....You played me!!!" (slumps out of classroom)
Me: "Really...why..."

In D.C.

I've been back in DC since Saturday and all it has done is rained. My hair is jacked up from the weather. We got caught on campus in a downpour on Monday; got caught during our Cinco De Mayo celebrations (awesome!!!!); got caught today on the way back from Giffords. Well besides all of the rain I have thoroughly enjoyed my times thus far. It's a wonder why I ever left this place but then I realize that I am jobless thus money-less.

On a more maintenance side of things for my 2 readers, I have enabled blogging from my phone and email so look for more random posts, quirks, blurbs and lot more of me especially my work adventures. I would get a Twitter but I just don't know how I feel about this bandwagon. I don't want everyone knowing what I'm always doing just my friends. I'll probably get one if my life gets any more interesting (unlikely).

*Sighs*

So this recession really sucks. I have been home for 8 months and am no closer to finding a job as I was when I got here. The only thing is that now it's getting warmer making it way easier to hang out with my friends and that graduation is finally upon us so that I can put Howard behind me. Spring Break officially begins tomorrow and I don't know what I am going to do for the next 5 days (hit the gym hopefully).

Awesomeness

Right now I am doing what I do best--toasted surfing the web. We have made plans to get together and I've picked the Schalfly Taphouse. Hopefully, I can get drunk. That would cap off another week of me not having a job.

Another rejection

So I applied for a job from the company that I interned with in college. Yet again I got turned down for another damn job. I am sick of this how many jobs will I apply for before I get one. I was in class, elementary school students which is another story all together, and I got the standard rejection email. "I am sorry to inform you that we are going forward with other candidates blah blah blah..." That is about the 20th job that I have been turned down from in the last 6 months. Hopefully JPMorgan Chase hires me.

Hello there.

It has been a long time and now I'm back. A lot has happenend in the past 6 weeks. I don't, however, want to divulge all of the facts. Just know that it was a rough 6 weeks and that I have been working (YAY!!!!!). I am back to make daily or weekly posts. Daily if I feel the need to put my thoughts down or weekly just so I update this blog.

It's getting warm outside and I plan to take a trip to the Missouri Botanical Garden as soon as the weather becomes consistently warm. Look out for the pictures. Until next time...

Reacquaintance

So it's been forever and so much has happened. Inauguration was a great week. But while in D.C., we partied like rock stars. Friday we went to 2 spots in Adams Morgan. The first was this spot on Columbia. I had a cran & vodka that was light pink; so you know there was a lot of vodka and no cranberry juice. Then we danced to some great songs and then left. We went to Tom Tom on 18th and then the night was a done deal. Some weird Latino guy tried to talk to me. And I got sooooo drunk. Let's just say there was a lot of letting people know I was DTF, yeah D-T-F. We got home and indulged and some of us stayed up until 6. Saturday was a wake and bake type of day and it was awesome. To sum it up it was a great time.

We did go back home unfortunately. Well as soon as I got back home I was back to my old antics--sitting in cars in the cold. :)

MFEO

I have the absolute best friends in the world. Regardless of when I met them, they all are special in my heart. I am so blessed to have such a great core and support system outside of my family although Birdean and Flips are and will always be my #1s. This break has made me realize just how special some of my friends are to me. They might not all be here but I think about them constantly. A very special shout out to my 3 best friends from college--I miss yall. Each of them mean something different to me and the fact that they all get along is even greater. One day when we all sit around and reminisce it'll be the best thing ever.
